Discussion of Snowpack and Stability

Mostly well settled and well bonded snowpack within the ski area boundary. Watch for warming on south aspects in the PM as temperatures rise and the sun gains strength. Persistent weak layers in the snowpack remain in the Columbia Mountain backcountry with another snowmobiling fatality yesterday 40km west of the resort and large avalanches reported by neighboring mechanized operations.
