Another Big Storm Hits Revelstoke
January 28 2012
Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, Enviroment Canada has issued a Heavy Snowfall Warning for the Revelstoke area.
A major winter storm is brewing with a pacific frontal system on the doorstep. Heavy snowfall, strong winds and rising freezing levels are forecasted for the next 2 days. In anticipation for Sunday morning, we are expecting 20-30cm overnight. If you're not already in Revelstoke, now is the time to get here!
Conditions at Revelstoke Mountain Resort are nothing short of spectacular. The Resort has received a whopping 659cm (259in) to date, with a base of 222cm (86in) at the top of the Ripper Chair. We have seen 68cm (27in) of snowfall this week already. With a snowy forecast on the radar for the remainder of January, we are on pace to have our snowiest January on record since the Resort commenced operations in 2007.
