It’s that time again; Revelstoke’s alpine is coming to life! And, with just a short walk from the top of our Revelation Gondola, you’ll be in the thick of it.
This summer, Tourism Revelstoke will be hosting the Revelstoke Wildflower Festival, a celebration of Revelstoke's alpine wildflower bloom. Expect a week of festivities including educational tours, themed food & drinks specials, bike rentals as well as recommendations for the best trails to see wildflowers in bloom.
This event does not include any gatherings, but offering activities and suggestions for ways to get out and enjoy Revelstoke's incredible scenery.
There will be educational opportunities from the North Columbia Environmental Society and the Columbia Shuswap Invasive Species Society, opportunities to get out in the wildflowers by bike, foot, or gondola, and wildflower themed activities throughout town. Live Sketching in the Alpine: On Saturday, August 8 at 9 am come and watch local artist Emily Beaudoin sketch wildflowers in the alpine.
Wildflower Walks: On Friday, August 14 the North Columbia Environmental Society (NCES) will be hosting two free educational wildflower tours, starting from the top of the Revelation Gondola. This will be a free event, however, Sightseeing tickets must be purchased from Guest Services prior to the tour(s). Groups will be limited to 6 per tour. Register online here >>
