March 8th is International Women’s Day, and what better way to celebrate being a rad chick than spending a day skiing or boarding with our female patrollers?
We want to show young women that ski patrolling isn't just a boys game. Follow our fully trained “she” patrollers around the mountain and get an idea of what a day in the industry is like. Learn about using dogs for avalanche rescue, toboggan handling, rope rescue, avalanche work, and more during rotating sessions.
This event is for girls ages 12-18 who are strong skiers and riders (at least level 4 according to this chart). There are limited places available and pre-registration online is mandatory. This is a free event, with donations accepted on behalf of the Revelstoke Women's Shelter.
