$1000 raised for Revelstoke Community Connections

January 04 2018

This year’s fourth annual Sutton Place Hotel Christmas Tree pageant raised $1000 for Community Connections.  Eleven trees decorated by different local businesses adorned the Sutton Place lobby over the holiday season. Ballots to vote on your favourite tree were five dollars, with all proceeds going to Community Connections. Among the businesses who put their decorative skills to the test were: Revelstoke Credit Union, RCU Insurance, Revelstoke RCMP, Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing, Revelstoke Mountain Resort, Revy Outdoors, K3 Cat Skiing, Royal LePage, and Parks Canada, and Community Connections.

“I set a personal goal to raise $1000 for Community Connections this year,” said Naomi Morgan, Front Office Manager for The Sutton Place Hotel. “We received 187 votes which totaled $935 but I really didn’t want to be short of the goal, so I pooled with the Sutton Place staff for the remaining amount.”

Bragging rights go to Parks Canada and The Rockford Wok, Bar, Grill who tied for the most number of votes, with RCU Insurance, and Revy Outdoors close behind.

Ballots also entered voters into a draw for some amazing prizes including:
-2 night stay at the Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver.
-1-night ski and stay package for two people at Sutton Place Hotel, Revelstoke
-One day of heli-skiing for two people with Selkirk Tangiers
-First Tracks. Priority Lift access at Revelstoke Mountain Resort
-$100 Gift Certificate at the Rockford WOK / BAR / GRILL
-30-minute massage at Feather & Stone Day Spa located at the village base at Revelstoke Mountain Resort.
-$100 Gift Card from R Gear, the Retail Store at Revelstoke Mountain Resort.

Thank you to all the business who donated their time and efforts to support a great cause.
