From Ski Slopes to Ski Shots, We’ve Got You Covered

December 23 2019

Kick off your ski boots and slip on your dancing shoes, because we're bringing live music to all your favourite on-resort après destinations this winter.

We've pulled out all the stops this winter. In addition to our regular après entertainment, we've scheduled extra musical performances to keep that holiday cheer going strong all the way into late January. We could just give you the full line-up of live performances, but where’s the fun in that? To make it easier to go directly from carving turns to raising glasses, we’ve lined up a brief itinerary to ensure the fun doesn't end once the gondola stops spinning.

Lunchtime

When you’ve been shredding powder since sunrise, sometimes 1 o’clock can feel a little like drink o’clock.

Lucky for you, we've got you covered. Refuel and recharge at our convenient mid-mountain lodge, offering hot food from Butter Chicken to Pho, as well as drinks from Espressos to Caesars (The Begbie Lounge has a liquor licence until 4 p.m.). What's more, the Revelation Lodge will be hosting live music (a mix of bands and/or DJ) every Saturday from 1-4 pm, with additional performances during the last weekend of December.

Afternoon

3 p.m. hits and suddenly you’re faced with the decision: to unwind, or to wind up?

Whether you’re craving some cheese-curd calories after clocking some afternoon laps, or you’re just starting to come alive for the evening; the Rockford and the Mackenzie Common Tavern A.K.A "The Mac" (both located at the village base) have the deals to satisfy your needs. Kick start your evening with Poutine at the Rockford for only $7 between 3-6 p.m., followed by dessert and live music at the Mac Common (only a stone’s throw from the Rockford!).

Evening

From dawn 'til dusk, enjoy slopeside après at The Rockford & The Mac (...until 12 a.m. this winter!)

You heard it right. The Rockford is extending its opening hours this winter until midnight on Fridays & Saturdays. Enjoy RMR's unique new brew, Stoked Mountain Ale, while kicking back to some live music or a DJ every Friday & Saturday night until close.

With a wide range of microbrews on tap, a free pool table, and its famous shot ski, the Mackenzie Common Tavern (AKA the Mac) is home to après good times. Line up your friends for a $21 group shot ski or swing by between 11-12 p.m. for their Power Hour $6.75 mountain mugs of drafts. The Mac has walk-up pizza available, plus for those of you who would rather sink in the hot tub than sink pints, the Mac offers delivery to hotel rooms nightly until 8 p.m.
