Season 2021.22 In Review
April 20 2022
Our Top 10 Highlights of the Winter
The 2021.22 season started and ended on an all-time high. From deep December days, to a Spring that just kept on giving— this year has shaped up to be one of our snowiest on record. But conditions aside, it’s the hollers in the trees; it’s watching your friends and family progress; and it’s the contagious energy of being around fellow snow-lovers that we’ll all remember most.
1. Opening Day
Starting the year off right with a 136 cm base, and the good vibes turned up to eleven. Watch the video HERE!
2. Subpeak Party Shred On December 15
Follow along with some of our favourite Revy locals getting the goods after an early season storm. (Sound On) for the full effect.
3. She Patrol
On March 8th, we celebrated International Women's Day by hosting the third annual She Patrol Mentorship Program —a day-long event aimed to inspire and celebrate women in the ski and outdoor industry. The event raised $1815 for the Revelstoke Women’s Shelter. 4. King and Queen of the Mountain
This 2-day freeride and slopestyle event was hosted March 5&6. Athletes wowed the crowd and judges all weekend long in both the ski and snowboard categories. Full event recap here, but this clip of the party train at the end of Day 2 is one for the books.
5. Grom Cons
We just can’t get enough of watching the next generation shred it up at these comps. These events are presented by The Revelstoke Snowboard Club (@snowboardclub.revelstoke) and supported by Someone Collective (@somewon), Society Snow and Skate (@societysnowandskate), R Gear Free Spirit Sports (@freespiritsports) and Revelstuck Escape Rooms (@revelstuckescaperooms).
6. The Sound Of Pure Joy
We can’t sum it up any better than @thatmountainlife !
7. Katie Burrell
We can’t get enough of this gal when she comes to visit. She’s a big deal now, but we’ll always say we knew her before she got famous!
8. April Fools
Did we get ya? We saw so much engagement on this April Fools prank! Thanks, everyone for chiming in on Facebook (add fb post link) and Instagram with your suggestions. If we do ever need to name or rename any runs, we’ll definitely put a call out for input!
9. Locals Days
Sharing the love with Revy locals and the Revelstoke Food Bank. The resort hosted 5 locals days this season offering $20 lift tickets, $10 rentals and $20 group lessons. 50% of all lift ticket proceeds were donated for a total of $5,450 this season. An additional $1,510 was also raised in March for the Red Cross humanitarian efforts in Ukraine.
10. A Season That Keeps On Giving
We recorded 77 cm (2.5 feet) of snowfall throughout the first week of April. Other noteworthy deep days this season were Dec 7 with a 22 cm dump and January 7 with 24 cm and an accumulation of over 82 cm to ring in the first week of the new year.
As this season draws to a close, we want to take a moment to thank our incredible staff members, guests and passholders for making this a year to remember. We can’t wait to see you all again next winter.
