The Year In Review
December 31 2018
The holidays are a busy time of year for ski resorts and we tend to get wrapped up in the hustle and focus on what's coming at us next. We obsessively check the forecast, pester patrol to see what runs are going to open next, prep for upcoming events and even start to get our ducks in a row for summer (yikes!). Although our days are spent thinking mostly about the future, it would be a shame not to pay homage to the incredible year we've just finished up. Check out the highlights from 2018:
2017-18 Season Closed With Record Breaking Snowfall
Our last day of the 2017-18 season presented us with a fresh 23cms, making it the highest snowfall on record since the resort's opening in 2007. Celebrations were in order, get a recap of closing day in the video below:

This past summer, our trail crew was working on an exciting new development, which will allow mountain bikers to ride top to bottom, 5,620 vertical feet down Mt Mackenzie. Riders will load the Revelation Gondola to the top and climb another 5km in order to access the new trail. The trail is to be completed this spring and open to bikers summer 2019. Date to be announced.

New Lift Announced For 2019-20
This fall we announced that we will be building a new lift in the Ripper Zone which will be open for the 2019-20 season. Cupcake Chair will provide a direct link to the Ripper area from the top of Revelation Gondola and will feature several new runs developed for beginner skiers and riders.
Dave Brownlie Appointed As President
We have a new face leading the charge at the resort and we couldn't be more excited to welcome Dave Brownlie as Revelstoke Mountain Resort's new President. Dave has 29 years of experience in the ski industry and is the former President and CEO of Whistler Blackcomb Holdings Inc. We are already seeing many positive impacts from Dave's appointment and look forward to having him guide us through a new phase of development.
A Roaring Start To The 2018-19 Season
We're wrapping up the year on a high note with almost 6 metres (588cm) of snowfall so far this season and a 180cm base depth. In comparison to previous years on this date, we're sitting 62 cm above last year and this is our third highest snowfall, on this date on record since 2007. So far we've witnessed a ton of pow slashes and heard a heck of a lot of hooting and hollering for only being one month into the season.

With a fantastic year almost behind us, we're looking forward to discovering what exciting things 2019 will bring. More snow, more laps and more lifts! Wishing you all a safe and happy New Year.
