Covid-19 Operating Protocols For Winter 2021.22

Revelstoke Mountain Resort will continue to follow BC’s Provincial Health orders and recommendations throughout the season. Below, you will find our latest updates on what to expect moving into the winter season. Please note, these policies are subject to change throughout the season to align with provincial guidelines.

Proof of Vaccination Required for the 2021.22 Season

All guests 12 years of age and 4 months, or older, must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to ski or ride at Revelstoke Mountain Resort.

Vaccine Passport

In addition to keeping everyone safe, we also want to keep lift wait times as short as possible. Given the enclosed nature of the Revelation Gondola, proof of a COVID-19 Immunization Record for anyone aged 12 years and 4 months, and older, will be required to access all facilities at Revelstoke Mountain Resort, including the gondola and chairlifts.

Season Passholders
Starting on November 18, Season Passholders can visit Guest Services to provide proof of their COVID-19 Immunization record, along with a piece of government issued photo ID. The Season Passholder will be given a sticker to fast-track the Vaccine Passport Check Station located at the base of the Resort.

Lift Tickets, Ikon Pass, Mountain Collective, Sunshine Super Card, and Costco
Upon arrival at the Resort, guests can visit Guest Services or the Vaccine Passport Check Station to provide proof of their COVID-19 Immunization record. In addition to government-issued photo ID, guests will be required to show their Provincial or Federal issued proof of COVID-19 Immunization record, or the vaccine verification that they used to enter Canada.

RMR Employees, Volunteers & Contractors
All Revelstoke Mountain Resort Employees, Volunteers, and Independent Service Providers must provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 as of November 27, 2021.

Gondola Access and Chairlifts

In addition to keeping everyone safe, we also want to keep lift wait times as short as possible. As such, we will be loading the gondola and chairlifts at full capacity during periods of peak volume.

Prior to boarding the Revelation Gondola, guests will be required to show their Vaccine Verification sticker. Access will not be permitted to the Revelation Gondola without proof of vaccine verifcation. After displaying your Vaccine Verification sticker to the validation agent, you will be required to put on a mask or face covering to proceed into the gondola loading area.

Face Coverings

Gondola and Chairlifts
Due to the enclosed nature of the gondola, face coverings will be required while riding the Revelation Gondola. Face coverings will not be required while riding the chairlifts.

Lift Lines
At this point in time, face coverings are not required in lift lines for the 2021/22 winter season, with the exception of a mask zone prior to boarding the Revelation Gondola.

Indoor Spaces
As per government regulations set out by the province of British Columbia, masks will be required in all indoor settings for anyone aged 5 and up.

Tickets & Passes
  • On-site tickets sales will be available this season. Proof of COVID-19 immunization will be required at the time of purchase, or upon pick-up for pre-purchased lift tickets.
  • Reservations for ski dates are not required.
  • There will be no cap on the number of season passes or daily lift tickets sold.
Refund Policies

Until December 15, 2021, all unused Season Passes, Vertical Cards and RMR lift tickets are eligible for a full refund without penalty, no questions asked. Note: this policy does not apply to Mountain Collective Passes, Ikon Passes, or the Sunshine Super Card. Costco refund requests should also be handled directly with Costco.

After December 15, 2021, all lift tickets and equipment rentals are non-refundable, except for the following Covid-19 related circumstances:

  • If the resort is forced to close.
  • If you have a mandated self-isolation.
  • In the event that you are prevented from travelling to Revelstoke due to COVID-19 related travel restrictions.
*If you relate to any of the above, a refund can be issued, or a credit can be applied to your account which can be used towards a summer or winter lift access product or rental prior to April 30, 2022.
Season Passes

Until December 15, 2021, all unused Season Passes are eligible for a full refund without penalty, no questions asked. After December 15, 2021, our standard Season Pass refund policies apply.

Food & Beverage

As per government regulations set out by the province of British Columbia, proof of COVID-19 immunization will be required for anyone aged 12 and over in indoor dining areas with table service. This includes the Rockford Bar | Grill, and Mackenzie Common Tavern.

Warming Huts

Due to the current provincial health restrictions and the need to provide adequate space for physical distancing in our staff areas, the warming huts at the top of the Ripper Chair, Stoke Chair, and Revelation Gondola are now closed. We will continue to evaluate this policy in accordance with the health restrictions for the province of British Columbia.

Day Care

Mountain Childcare will be closed for the 2021/22 season.

Sanitation, Health & Safety

In partnership with Proctor & Gamble, Revelstoke Mountain Resort has developed Revelstoke Mountain Resort PureClean to elevate our existing high standards of hygiene and cleanliness procedures. See our PureClean Commitment to Health and Safety here.

Sutton Place Hotel

Vaccination Passport
As per government regulations set out by the province of British Columbia, COVID-19 immunization is not a requirement to stay overnight at The Sutton Place Hotel. Guests without proof of vaccination will be permitted to stay at the hotel with access to room service and take-out, but they will not be permitted to in-restaurant dining or access to the lifts.

Masks and Physical Distancing
Masks are mandatory in all indoor public spaces, this includes elevators, hallways, lobby areas for anyone over the aged 5 and older. Physical distancing is encouraged in all indoor public spaces.

Pool and Hot Tubs
Our outdoor pools and hot tubs will be open for the winter season and are currently operating without restrictions.  Masks are not required on the pool deck; however physical distancing is strongly encouraged.

Fitness Centre
The Fitness Center is currently in full operation without an occupancy limits. Physical distancing is strongly encouraged, and masks are mandatory for all indoor spaces. This will continue unless otherwise directed by the Provincial Health Authority.

Enhanced Cleaning Protocols
In order to keep our guests and team members safe, we have implemented our company-wide PureClean program that includes increased cleaning of all public and high touch areas, as well as guest rooms.

Stayover Service
At this time, we have made the decision to provide stayover service upon request only in order to keep our guests and our team safe. Stayover service will only be provided if requested and if all guests are out of the suite at the time the service is provided.

Lodging Refunds and Cancellations

For the period of November 26, 2021 - April 18, 2022, the Sutton Place Hotel and Sandman Hotel Revelstoke have adjusted their refund policy as follows: At the time of booking, one night's room and tax will be charged, with the remaining balance due 30 days prior to arrival. Up until 30 days prior to arrival, a full refund can be processed with no questions asked. Within 30 days of arrival, all lodging bookings are non-refundable.

Ski and Snowboard Rentals

Rentals will be available for walk-ups and online sales, but advance booking is strongly recommended. As per per government regulations set out by the province of British Columbia, masks or face coverings are required for anyone aged 5 and older.

Snow School

All Snow School programs will require proof of vaccination for anyone aged 12 and older. When indoors, masks or face covering will be required for anyone aged 5 and older.

Resort Shuttle

The Stoke Shuttle will be in operation with Covid-19 protocols in effect. Masks will be mandatory to ride the shuttle.
