Paint The Park
This year, Revelstoke Mountain Resort introduced Paint the Park, a new initiative bringing together local art and mountain culture by transforming terrain park rails into one-of-a-kind works of art.
The project began with an open call for submissions, inviting local artists to showcase their creativity and submit designs inspired by the theme "What Does Revelstoke Mean to You?" Artists were encouraged to reflect on their personal connection to Revelstoke and bring their interpretations to life through their artwork. From the applications received, three artists were selected to transform their designs into reality.
Over the Thanksgiving long weekend, the selected artists took over the base of the resort, painting their rails live for guests to watch. Each artist brought their own unique style and perspective, transforming three terrain park features into colourful works of art that reflect what Revelstoke means to them.
Coming to the Terrain Park This Winter
With the artwork now complete, all three rails will be installed in the terrain park for the 2026/27 winter season. They'll join our previously painted rail by local artist Turbo Bambi, bringing a total of four custom-painted features to the park for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy throughout the winter.
A huge thank you to our talented local artists for bringing their creativity to the mountain and helping make this new initiative a success. We can't wait to see these works of art in action this winter!

What Does Revelstoke Mean to You?
To me, Revelstoke embodies the outdoor adventure lifestyle that I always dreamed of; when I moved here in 2023, my understanding of the word lifestyle transformed. I, like many, originally came for the skiing, for ‘one winter’. But three years later, Revelstoke means so much more to me than skiing. One of my favourite things about life in Revelstoke is the seasonality. Having grown up in Australia, I never really got to witness the way that a place can change so dramatically with each seasonal shift. I love the way that winter and summer serve as the peaks. Life becomes so busy with skiing, hiking, biking, and all the other activities that come with living here. Town comes to life as people embrace everything that Revelstoke offers. Everything feels busy, beautiful, and full of energy. But I equally love the way that these peak periods are complemented by the slower seasons in between. Spring and fall in Revelstoke are wonderful. Not only are they some of the most visually colourful times of year, but to me, they symbolise the slowness and reset that is needed after a busy winter or summer. They create a rhythm that allows the Revelstoke lifestyle to be sustainable. Through my art, I wanted to represent this continuous movement between the seasons, within one panoramic scene viewed from the top of Mt Mackenzie. The first and last panels depict summer and winter, showing some of the adventurous pursuits that can be enjoyed at Revelstoke Mountain Resort, with the sun high in the sky and peak season in full force. The middle panel shows fall, one of the slower transitional periods between the two. The sun is low in the sky, the river flows lazily down the valley, and the colours are changing as town winds down from summer and gets ready to reboot into winter mode. A recurring flowing line connects each section: the bike path in the first panel, the river in the second, and the ski tracks in the third. Together, they represent the cyclical movement of the seasons and the rhythm of the Revelstoke lifestyle.

Hi, I’m Spud Ink from British Columbia. I am a surrealist abstract artist who loves creating bold, colorful pieces using Posca pens and acrylic paint on canvas’s and skateboards. I take inspiration from all things colourful and unconventional; the weirder, the better. I love making art that feels expressive, energetic, and a little out of this world!
This piece for Paint the Park is the largest painting I have done so far, and it was super exciting.
What Does Revelstoke Mean to You?
Revelstoke, to me, is all about the diverse community we have, so I decided to draw a bunch of different people who represent the community of Revelstoke in my own weird way! There’s a lot of diversity in this town, and I wanted to make a piece for the people to show all the different faces and people you meet here.

Xavier Bouchard is from Sherbrooke QC, but now resides in Revelstoke. He is a passionate skier, guide, and artist. His art focuses on larger acrylic paintings exploring themes of wonder, playfulness, dreams, and psychedelic worlds. The inspiration behind his rail painting is founded in the ethos and vibe of park riding: fun, expression, boldness, and non-conformity.
What Does Revelstoke Mean to You?
Revelstoke is a magical place. My inspiration comes from taking a moment in the woods by yourself and noticing the life around you and all the small details that you might not otherwise see. That’s what Revelstoke means to me: a wild place with hidden beauty.
