What To Expect For Opening Day 2024
There are only three more sleeps until we kick off the 24/25 winter season at Revelstoke Mountain Resort! With over 310cm (122in) of snowfall already, this opening day is shaping up to be one for the books. A fresh dusting is expected before Saturday, and the weekend forecast couldn’t look better—conditions will be prime.
Get ready for an unforgettable start to the season.
Read on to find out everything you need to know about terrain, lifts, parking, and more for this weekend.
Terrain
Make no mistake, this is shaping up to be one of our strongest starts to the season in years. Last week’s conditions check with Patrol and Logan Pehota says it all—this mountain is ready! With all chairlifts set to spin, a base depth of 113cm (45in), and a large portion of our terrain forecasted to open, plenty of untouched powder will be yours for the taking on Saturday morning.
On Sunday, there's the opportunity to score even more untouched pow with the ropes anticipated to drop on Greely Bowl and Subpeak.
Despite the strong start, we want to remind skiers and riders that early-season conditions are still in play. Unmarked hazards remain close to the surface, particularly as you descend in elevation. A new season also means that terrain may have changed. Of particular note, be aware of new cliff hazards near Big Woody in the Back 40 Glades. Please be aware of your surroundings and use caution while skiing or riding at the Resort.
Important Downloading will be mandatory from the top of the Revelation Gondola on Opening Day.
Getting Here
Camozzi Road
The newly upgraded Camozzi Road is now open. To get to the resort, take the exit from the roundabout opposite Mackenzie Village on Nichol Road. Please refer to the map below for updated directions to the resort.
Important: Google Maps has not been updated since the Camozzi Road upgrade. We are working with Google Maps to resolve this issue.
Parking
With the addition of extra parking infrastructure for the 24.25 winter season, please note that the names of the lots have changed. For ease of identification, the parking lots are now named geographically. In addition to the Main, Upper, South and West lots, overflow parking is available for the South and West lots. There are also skier drop-off areas conjoining the Main lot, and South lot for direct-to-base access for those traveling with passengers. The map below outlines the parking options that will be available at the Resort this winter.
Important Parking availability for Opening Weekend will be dependent on ground conditions and water saturation. Our construction team is working hard to prepare the West and South lots as best they can before the weekend.
Reduced Speed Limit Note, the speed limit between the Mountain Road roundabout and South Parking lots is 30km/hour.
Resort Shuttle
Instead of driving, please consider using alternative transport to ease congestion on opening day. We recommend utilizing the Revelstoke Resort Shuttle. It is $2 per trip, or season-long passes can be purchased online. To view the schedule and bus route, visit the Revelstoke Transfers website.
