Revelstoke Bike Park Opens Top to Bottom
Even though die-hards have been biking around Revelstoke since before winter operations wrapped at Revelstoke Mountain Resort, the RMR bike park season is officially on. Opening weekend (June 7–8) brought the usual mix of party shirts, cased jumps, and high fives as riders got their first lift-served laps of the season.
The lower mountain did the heavy lifting for opening weekend, giving riders a chance to shake the rust off and get their legs back under them. Berms were running smooth, jump lines were dialed, and the freshly worked-over Endgame was riding as clean as ever. With no new trails on tap this year, the bike park crew focused on drainage, reshaping corners, and buffing out brake bumps — and it showed.

Now that the top officially opened (June 21), the full scope of this season’s upgrades is live. Hickory Glades on 5620 got a fresh tune-up and is riding like a dream, with more rhythm and plenty of speed. Bagful of Boogie (BOB) saw some love too, with improved flow and extra finesse through the rougher sections.
The bottom of the mountain was buzzing — with the upper bike park open and both Pipe Coasters firing on all cylinders, action was fully back at the base and the crowds were rolling in. Mackenzie Plaza was finally shaking off its shoulder season slumber, and local legends Big Suz brought the jams with a live set that had the plaza rocking. The Mac Tavern and Outpost also kicked off their summer service, slinging smash burgers and cold drinks to a crowd that had definitely earned them. And if you somehow still had energy — and were feeling a little masochistic — the Kill the Banker hike was wide open and ready to toast your quads with a whole lot of vert.
Now that most of the lift network is spinning, there’s little need to pedal uphill—until the Stoke Climb opens, that is. Save your energy for the downhill runs and the cold reward waiting for you at the base.
